📝 FREE resource for writing a second (!!) edition of your book

Bonjour, friends old and new!

A big welcome to all the new faces who recently joined my list (I say “new faces” because I know a lot of you came from a LinkedIn post I shared—so I do actually see your faces on the regular 😊).

It’s great to have you here with Mark My Words, a weeklyish email newsletter with exclusive content and resources about creating a book to serve as an ambassador for your brand or business.

Okay, on to today’s free resource… let me give you some context first, as always.

In the Golden Age of Content, we’re not always looking to create even.more.content.

For some of us, inspiration is within our grasp, ideas are flowing, and our content practically falls out onto the page.

But for others, we’re in a season of lower creativity. Maybe we’re focusing more on making connections in our field or providing excellent service to our clients.

No matter what season you’re in, I’m all about helping you find the lowest-hanging fruit.

So here’s an idea: if you released a book a while ago but feel like your impact and revenue from that effort have stalled, consider releasing a second edition.

Now, if you haven’t written a book for your brand or business yet, this email still applies to you. You can apply the same ideas to your first edition, so keep reading…

A couple of my clients already had established author brands when they came to me wanting to rerelease their bestselling book as a second edition.

They could have started from scratch and written an entirely new book for their brand.

But they chose the lightest lift: they leveraged the content they already had, optimized it, and republished an even more impactful book.

I know you might feel a little bit overwhelmed by where to start or unsure as to what will justify a compelling second edition of your book to readers already familiar with your brand.

That’s why I’m here, though. I want to help you leverage the content you’ve already created (that’s the first step, whether it’s your first or your fifteenth book!).

So I’ve designed a one-sheet pdf you can use (and I’m giving it to you, no charge!) to begin prepping any of your existing titles for its second edition. Click the button below to download it instantly:

The pdf has 9 WAYS you can update your existing book content—pick a few, or try all 9! And please let me know by reply which ones are your favorites.

Download my list of content ideas so that when you want to leverage the words you’ve already written, you don’t have to wonder how to position the relaunch of your book because you’ll be able to tell readers exactly what they’re getting in this new, expanded and updated version.

To your lightest lift,

Jessica

P.S. I know you might be thinking there’s no way you could justify relaunching the same book. You don’t have to do it on your own. Start with the one-sheet pdf—that alone will make the path ahead SO much easier for you. And hit reply if you get stuck!

P.P.S. Follow and connect with me on LinkedIn if you haven’t already 😊
